3 Ways to Learn Chinese More Effective

0

The first important rule for learning Chinese online is that each tone needs its color. It helps a lot when you have just encountered Chinese, and you need to write hieroglyphs. Or vice versa, you can’t remember the tones.

All Chinese characters have a transcription; this transcription, called pinyin, has a key. You cannot remember what tone this word has because nothing tells you what tone the word should be at first. Therefore, you memorize or memorize these words to speak correctly and correctly.

Come up with your favorite color for each tone to make it easier for yourself. And when you start writing hieroglyphs, you open the copybook and author, writing these hieroglyphs, each with your color. Your task is to choose four colors and designate each tone.

Stress on Phonetics

Try to listen as much as possible and repeat even more. The fact is that regardless of your language level, you always, being at home, in transport or another place, learn some specific words. And as a rule, when memorizing, we use the technique – “read the words to yourself as much as possible.” But in this way, your phonetics will begin to suffer because you seem to be not moving forward while reading to yourself.

Therefore, you need to say as much as possible. To begin with, learn to speak the letters correctly, then proceed to the correct reading. All subsequent problems are drawn out because you misunderstood or learned something.

And, of course, the tones that you need to follow. The Chinese are very kind and respectful of those who use techniques correctly. We, Russians, like it when they speak Russian beautifully and perfectly. And this is not about the fact that a foreigner puts words one after another, and the meaning seems clear. And about changing words according to persons, numbers, cases, changes in time, and everything else. All this makes our speech beautiful. It’s the same in Chinese, and the tonality is the Chinese language. If you do not tone this language, your Chinese will be ugly.

Learn Hieroglyphs

The main rule for learning Chinese characters is that you can’t just write them down. Before writing a hieroglyph, you need to parse it. We are used to the fact that each word is spelled out, and we can read each letter in a comment. But there is no alphabet in Chinese, and to remember better and more hieroglyphs, they need to be parsed.

When writing, you remember how this hieroglyph looks, but you cannot learn more than 50-70 hieroglyphs indiscriminately. You need to come up with something to memorize constantly, and there is no alphabet.

In Chinese, for example, there are such exciting words as 自行車 (Zìxíngchē) – a bicycle, but in fact, it develops as “a car for itself” or, for example, the phrase 松鼠 (Sōngshǔ) – a squirrel: 松 (sōng) is a pine tree, and 鼠 (shǔ) is a mouse, and “pine mouse” translates as “squirrel.” The main task is to play with these words, and it does not matter if you are a child who has just started learning Chinese or are already forty-five years old.

If you need to learn how to write hieroglyphs, you don’t need to sit down and write them in a notebook for three hours so that you won’t remember. It is better to write down, for example, ten hieroglyphs in a row in a notebook one after another, and you can write Pinyin side by side. To remember how it is read, you need to repeat it every time. Write them down 5-10 times, close the notebook and return to this process again after a few hours. By devoting 5 – 10 minutes during the day, hieroglyphs will be remembered faster and easier.

Read Special Books for Foreigners

First, you need to decide what you love the most: reading, listening or watching. Each format has its own way of learning. If you like to read, then you choose some books. I’m talking about books specially prepared for foreigners. They help to learn Chinese. They are collected according to the number of hieroglyphs you currently know, and the level becomes more difficult each time. There are many such books.
